Different Paths and Carriers in Video

In The film and Entertainment industry, there are many different strands that you can choose and they all don't necessarily have to se a camera. The three Different strands I'm interested in would be Audio and Video Production, Film Studies, and Television Production.

Audio and Video

In this Career you are in a lot of exciting places, you could be at Sporting Events, TV and radio stations, theaters, conferences, etc. It is recommended that you have a certificate at the very least and the bigger job opportunities come from those who have a degree in audio and video production. you need to be amicable and work well with others as well as being flexible since you would be working in different environments. you will have to know how to operate sound and mixing boards, edit live recordings, synchronize sounds and movements for tv, set up and maintain operating gear, monitor and operate quality of the production, troubleshoot, and edit recordings. These salary can range from 55k-60k per year. You need to have a degree in this field and have education in it. you should know how to use technology to an advanced level and since there is a degree in this field the competition is very high. It seems like a fun field and there is a lot of fun yet challenging opportunities that you can have.

Film Director

Bing a film director is a very challenging job since you have to have a very vibrant and creative vision and you are in charge of putting scenes and shots together cohesively. You will communicate with your crew filming team and get everyone in order. Some essential skills that you ill need would be exceptional communication skills, creative flair, motivation and leadership, problem solving, and attention to detail. It depends on how big the projects you are doing and how many you are planning on doing. There aren't that many qualifications that are completely necessary but a degree in video production, and you acquire most of your skills as you go and experience and knowledge comes with more time and directing. Some schools that offer film production include University of Nebraska-Lincoln School, University Iowa, University of Chicago, and many more. I like this job since I consider myself a leader and I feel like I have a creative mind that can piece together shots and films.

Runner

Being. Runner consist of running a lot of errands, being an assistant, organizing times and events well. You are a very busy person and you are a big help to others around in the set. They need good communication skills, amicable, quick on your feet, organized, attention to detail, and good work ethic. salary is about 7-13 dollars an hour but with projects that you participate in can affect the income and the amount of work that you do as well. There went too many qualifications to be a runner but a NDH degree is recommended and you get a lot of experience from time and courses like drama/theatre experience, media studies, and communication classes would be good courses to take. There being many schools that can offer theatre classes, communications, and other courses to progress you in the film industry will all be useful. This job is catches my attention because I think I am a very service person and I like to help others and make their job less stressful as well as run errands.
