In this project we used the skills that we remember from our previous projects and tutorials. With this image I tried to get better with the masks and I feel very comfortable with the opacity and ordering the layers. I have a good sense and feel of what all the different tools do and what tool is best for each individual situation. I worked with putting other images into a certain spot and also getting the textures out of it. I got the feather texturing and glow effect from the bottle composite video we worked on the past week. I had to work past adding certain things and not knowing what to do with the man but I played around with the setting and just experimented for some time as well.

Creating Process

The hardest part of this project was getting inspired and getting the right photos to change him. I ran into a problem because I was going to put a ski mask on him but his nose was at an awkward angle and none of the goggles fit the face right or the face. I was going for a story type when creating the scape man so I put a burning forrest in his jacket and an ice template in his shirt with a big mountain in the back and I also made him transparent so you could see some of the background through him. I also put some feather around his outline to put a glowing effect and make him stand out while still being transparent. I put layer masks on the jacket and he shirt and had to use the brush selecting tool to get precise selections.

Reflections

This project was a big learning experience since I got to use all of the tutorials that we have done and also try and experiment with our images. I realized just how hard it was to pull in images and to add things to tell and make a story interesting and make sure it looked good at the same time.I am definitely going to be using the layer masks and blending options since texturing and putting together images are a big subject that we do in a to of projects.
